Patrick Owens was born in Gastonia, NC and raised in Taylors, SC. He received his AA degree in Photography from Greenville Technical College in Greenville, SC where he works as the Studio Manager/Gallery Assistant for the Department of Visual Arts. He earned his BFA degree Magna Cum Laude from Clemson University in Sculpture. Some of his photographs have been included in the Looking at Appalachia project and are in the collection of the Archive of Documentary Arts at Duke University in Durham, NC. His work was included in the 2017 Contemporary Alabama Photography exhibit at the Mobile Museum of Art in Mobile, AL. Patrick makes regular trips to Alabama, the home of generations of his family, to photograph and collect.
